Berkeley Labaw Speck Tour

The Southeast largest 2 day Speckled Perch Tournament to take place on January 30-31, 2027 with a mandatory captains meeting on January 29th. All events to be held out of Highland Park Fish Camp in Deland Fl. 

Berkeley was raised in the DeLand area and never left. He retired from the Florida Dept of Transportation. Berkeley was an avid fisherman and hunter and believed that everyone, especially children, should have the opportunity to experience the great outdoors.

He loved his family and had two grandchildren; his great granddaughter Berkeley is carrying on his name. His second home was the St. Johns River which he loved for its diversity of fish, as well as wildlife. He fished every day and when he wasn’t on the river you could find him at Highland Park Fish Camp just telling fishing stories.

This tournament is not only to honor and remember Berekley but also for the community to keep the love of fishing and the outdoors alive!
